Houston Firm Donates 40 Electronic Tablets to Belize for Early Childhood Education

August 19, 2019, Houston, Texas USA – Dream Maker Realty, Insurance & Secured Tax Service, Inc., a Houston based firm has obtained 40 electronic tablets at the request of the Honorary Vice Consul of Belize in Houston, to support early childhood education. The donation request initiated from the efforts of Belize’s Young Women’s Christian Association to bring technology to Belize’s preschool learning environment.

Nicole Curette, founder of Dream Maker Realty, Insurance & Secured Tax Service, will travel to Belize August 28, 2019, along with the Honorary Vice Consul, Mrs. Sherri Moore Gongara and Ms. Leondria R. Thompson, Chairwomen of Tri-County Regional Black Chamber of Commerce to deliver the 40 electronic tablets to the Young Women’s Christian Association in Belize.

Mrs. Curette has visited Belize several times as a Delegate on International Trade Missions with Tri- County Regional Black Chamber of Commerce. “When I received the request for support to bring technology to preschool learning environment, I felt compelled and blessed to support that effort because I have witnessed the eagerness of Belize’s youth to learn,” states, Nicole Curette.

The Young Women’s Christian Association (YWCA) is an NGO that empowers women and youth in Belize. “We pride ourselves on having impacted thousands of Belizeans since 1954”, says Ms. Deanna Gomez Peyrefitte, General Secretary, YWCA. Ms. Peyrefitte also states, “as one of the biggest preschools in Belize, we are able to impact approximately 200 plus children ages 3 to 5 years each school year, plus an additional 50 to 75 children 3 months to 5 years at our daycare.”

“Being in the position to support positive outcomes for women and children in Belize is truly a blessing for me and others like Mrs. Curette, who are committed to supporting,” states, Mrs. Sherri Moore Gongara, Honorary Vice Consul Belize – Houston.

Mrs. Curette, Mrs. Gongara and Ms. Thompson will visit the YWCA to officially donate the tablets and visit with supporters of early childhood development programs.
